Sky Course

Climb from tree to tree on ladders, ropes, zip lines, bridges, and more!
With our secure, continuous belay system, you can focus on having fun.
The perfect activity for families and friends, including youth,
at SkyTrek Adventure Park in British Columbia.

The Sky Course is kind of like an obstacle course in the trees! It’s an exciting and challenging outdoor activity for couples, families, friends, and groups. It will test your physical and mental strength, stamina, agility, balance, and flexibility.

Over 30 elements, spanning from tree to tree, on one large, continuous course that increases height and difficulty as you progress. There are optional exit points throughout the course if needed. The Sky Course has been built using arborist approved trees and constructed with environmentally sensitive methods and standards that preserve tree health.

Reservations are recommended for the Sky Course throughout our entire operating season. Have the best experience possible by booking online and signing your waiver in advance of your visit.

What to expect

The experience starts with a mandatory training session. The course ranges from 2 – 12 meters (6.5 to 40 feet) off the ground. You begin on the green course and progress through the blue, black, and double black-rated courses. There will always be a Guide on the ground during your entire experience, coaching, encouraging, and helping when needed.

The entire experience can take 1-3 hours, depending on how busy the park is and guest pace preference. Peak season, which is 7 days a week in July and August, can contribute to the length of time the course takes. Please allow adequate time during your trip planning to fully enjoy your Sky Course experience!

Pro Tip: If you’re able to, make a reservation in the 9:00, 9:30, or 10:00am time slot and arrive 10 minutes prior to your reservation time to avoid congestion on the Sky Course! We accept walk-ins, but time slots fill up with reservations around midday, so arrive early to avoid wait times, especially if you have a group of six or more people!

1) Training

SkyTrek Adventure Park provides participants with a harness, helmet, and all necessary safety equipment. Our experienced guides will teach you about your equipment and how to use it to navigate the Sky Course.

2) Green Course

Once training has been complete successfully, everyone in the group will start on the Green Course. This is the lowest and easiest section of the Sky Course with entry level elements. Trek your way from tree to tree, mostly on bridges and the first two zip lines of the course.

3) Blue Course

After finishing the Green Course, confident participants will enter the Blue Course. This is higher and slightly more difficult than the Green Course and has intermediate level obstacles that require a bit more strength and balance, and another zip line!

4) Black & Double Black Courses

After completing the Green and Blue Courses, you can choose enter the more challenging Black Course. It offers the highest elevation, and the most physically challenging elements. The elements of the black course call for more upper body strength than the previous Green and Blue sections, but it also has the most optional exit points of the Sky Course.

Within the black course are the double black diamond games: the most challenging elements of the entire course, including the finale of the Sky course: the Leap of Faith drop!
